Can a person in prone position use an elevator?

These elevators support users that are in a seated or partially prone position. Someone who is in a fully prone position will not be able to use this type of elevator.

What safety features do elevators have?

Depending on the application, they have interlocks that prevent the doors from opening when the elevator is not in the appropriate location, underpan sensors to detect obstructions beneath the unit, emergency backup brakes and manual lowering. They can be DC powered meaning they can run when the power to the home is off.

How long does it take to install and elevator?
